Breathtaking views from new World Trade Center tower

April 3 - One hundred floors in the air, New York City's future One World Trade Center Observatory will offer spectacular vistas of the fabled city. Tara Cleary reports.

It's one the world's most recognizable cities.
And in a couple of years, visitors to the Observatory at New York's One World Trade Center will be able to enjoy these views.
The Observatory will occupy floors 100 to 102 and construction starts in 2014 ending a year later.
The Port authority of New York and New Jersey owns and manages the World Trade Center site.
And Deputy Executive Director, Bill Baroni says the spectacular views will cement the skyscraper's status as a world class destination.

"Whether you are coming here by train to go to work, or your coming here to the Memorial Museum, or now you are coming to stand in the place with the greatest view anywhere in the world. This place is back."
Once completed, One World Trade Center will stand 1,776 feet tall -- that's over half a kilometer high -- making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
