Cher fans can rest easy knowing that the pop icon is not dead, despite confusing posts on Twitter. The hashtag "#nowthatcherisdead," was created by a website after news broke that former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher had died of a stroke. Cher fans misread the hashtag and interpreted it as "Now That Cher Is Dead", prompting Tweets of sadness and condolence, including "Rest in peace Cher". Thatcher died on April 8 at the age of 87.
