Legendary Spanish actress and singer Sara Montiel is laid to rest in Madrid as fans, family and friends pay their final respects. Kathi Urban reports.

Family and friends have paid their final respects to Spanish actress and singer Sara Montiel, who passed away aged 85.
Montiel, who starred in several 1950s Hollywood productions alongside the likes of Gary Cooper, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday (April 8).
Her funeral was attended by friends, former lovers and close family members, including Montiel's cousin Josefina Abad.
SOUNDBITE: Josefina Abad, Sara Montiel's cousin, saying (Spanish):
"(She was) well, very well, it happened suddenly, she was getting ready to leave... Sorry, where was she going? Manolita? To Oviedo ... and she started feeling out of breath and when doctors arrived she was already dead."
Montiel, who in her native Spain was much celebrated for her beauty, is best known for her films roles in "Run of the Arrow" and "Vera Cruz".
Venezuelan author and friend, Boris Izaguirre, credits her for opening up Hollywood to Spanish speakers.

"Sara Montiel was the first Spanish star, she encompassed everything we associate with another language and another place which is Hollywood. Sara allowed Hollywood to be Spanish, too."
Apart from her movie work, the star also had a long singing career.
She now rests at Madrid's Sacramental de San Justo Cemetery.
