Baseball drama "42," the story of Jackie Robinson becoming the first black player in the major leagues more than 60 years ago, took home a win at the movie box office after scoring 27.3 million dollars (USD) from weekend ticket sales in the United States and Canada. The film about the Hall of Fame player topped industry forecasts for an opening of about 20 million. It defeated new horror spoof "Scary Movie 5," the second-place finisher with just over 15 million from Friday through Sunday, according to studio estimates. Animated Stone Age adventure film "The Croods" took the No. 3 slot. The Dreamworks Animation production rung up sales of 13 million in its fourth week for a total of 142 million in the U.S. and Canada. In international markets, Tom Cruise sci-fi thriller "Oblivion" debuted with 61 million in 52 countries. The film opens in the United States and Canada next weekend. Teen pop star Justin Bieber is taking heat on social media after the Anne Frank House reported he visited the Amsterdam museum and wrote in the guest book he hoped the young Holocaust victim would have been a "belieber," the popular term for his fans. A large share of the hundreds of commentators on the museum's Facebook post reacted negatively to Bieber's choice of words. Anne Frank, who died at age 15 at a concentration camp in 1945, is one of the most well-known and celebrated Jewish victims of the Holocaust. New York police arrested a woman for stalking after she wielded an electric razor while approaching Australian actor Hugh Jackman at a New York City gym, police said on Sunday (April 14) Katherine Thurston, 47, went into the gym where Jackman was working out early on Saturday morning, reportedly shouted that she loved the 44-year-old actor before throwing an electric razor at him. She then fled and was arrested a few blocks away.
