The Daily Digit today is $184,300. That was the median price for a previously owned home in the United States in March, according the National Association of Realtors. That's up 11.8 percent from a year earlier, the biggest increase since November 2005. The reason? There just haven't been a lot of homes on the market. And those dwindling inventories during the winter were the main reason resales edged down 0.6 percent in March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.92 million units. But some analysts see that move downward as only a pause in the housing market recovery that has helped boost the economy. And the situation is changing. There were already more houses for sale in March than in February. And even more are expected to go on the market next month ahead of the summer buying season.
