Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg met with fans ahead of the premiere of his new movie, the dark comedy Pain and Gain. It tells a true story of three personal trainers, played by Wahlberg, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Anthony Mackie. In pursuit of the American dream in 1990s Miami, they get caught up in a criminal enterprise that goes horribly wrong. SOUNDBITE, Mark Wahlberg, actor, saying (English): "I never really looked at it as a comedy. I just thought there was so many outrageous things happening you couldn't help but laugh at certain places, which I thought would make it for a more interesting balance. Because of the drama and the suspense of the film, layered that with the comedy and the action, it was just so original." The movie was directed by Michael Bay, who has just signed Wahlberg to star in his revamped 'Transformers' franchise. SOUNDBITE, Mark Wahlberg, actor, saying (English): "One of my favorite directors of all-time. I just signed on to do "Transformers" with him and we are going to take over "Transformers" and do something different and cool." Pain and Gain opens in the US on April 26.
