Several members of Michael Jackson's family arrived at court in Los Angeles on Monday (April 29) for the opening statements in a civil suit over the pop star's death. The jury trial, which is expected to last three months, seeks to hold concert promoters AEG Live, liable for the wrongful death of the "Thriller" singer. The lawsuit, brought by Jackson's mother Katherine on behalf of the singer's three children, alleges that AEG Live was negligent in hiring the physician convicted in 2011 of involuntary manslaughter to care for the singer while he rehearsed for the series of 50 shows. Helen Mirren was crowned best actress at the Olivier Awards, Britain's top theatre honors, on Sunday (April 28) for reprising her Oscar-winning portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II. Mirren has won stellar reviews for starring in "The Audience", Peter Morgan's play about the private weekly meetings between Queen Elizabeth and the 12 British prime ministers during the six decades of her reign. British film studio Pinewood Shepperton, home of the James Bond movies, plans to build its first movie, television and music studio in the United States, part of an international expansion strategy launched in 2009. Pinewood, which is Europe's largest film studio, said it plans to develop 288 acres of land south of Atlanta, Georgia, for a studio facility as part of a joint venture. Pinewood already owns studios in Canada and Germany and is building facilities in Malaysia and the Dominican Republic.
