Despite the Spice-mania when it launched musical Viva Forever! is set to close - just six months after it opened.
Based loosley on the story of 90s girlband The Spice Girls the production got off to a glitzy start in London's West End.
Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell could not wait to see it:
Soundbite: Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, saying: (English)
"Obviously we're ridiculously excited to see the show. We have been there for the whole process. It's just amazing to see it on stage. Our families are in there and we've got each other. We got ready together and we're having a laugh."
Soundbite: Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, saying: (English)
"Can you imagine if you wrote a song in a little studio many years ago and now a West End cast are singing it?"
But despite the opening night excitement it failed to impress the critics.
Produced by Mamma Mia mastermind Judy Craymer the show struggled after receiving bad reviews.
She said with a heavy heart they had to make the difficult decision to post closing notices.
Spice Girls fans have until June 29th the catch the show.
