A rare moment of joy in Bangladesh as a woman is pulled from the rubble 17 days after a building collapsed killing more than 1,000 people. Rescuers speculated that she may have survived by drinking water that had pooled in the site after firemen doused flames that had broken out earlier in the rescue effort. (SOUNDBITE) (Bengali) RESCUE WORKER, MOHAMMAD RUBEL RANA, SAYING: "When I was cutting iron rods suddenly I found a silver colored stick just moving from a hole and I looked through and I saw someone calling 'please save me'. Then instantly I called the army and fire fighters and said please look I heard a sound. Then they saw her and confirmed that there was a woman. They rescued her and sent her to hospital." Her mother in law -- who says the survivors name is Reshma, is relieved (SOUNDBITE) (Bengali) MOTHER IN LAW OF RESCUED WOMAN, AYESHA, SAYING: "I have not seen her yet but I am very happy that she is alive. At least my grand children got their mother back. All my grand children are now overwhelmed." As the bodies are still being pulled from the rubble the woman is now recovering in the hospital -- a rare glimpse of hope from a disaster that devastated so many lives.
