Workers are finally topping off the scaffolding around the Washington Monument.
The monument has been closed since August of 2011 after a 5.8 magnitude tremor shook the nation's capital. The earthquake created stresses and cracks throughout its entire structure.
The site is expected to remain shut to the public until 2014 as crew make repairs.
