'The Great Gatsby' party in the south of France continued on Thursday (May 16), a day after the cast and crew hit the red carpet to open up the Cannes Film Festival. Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan were at the exclusive Hotel du Cap in Antibes, half an hour's drive from the main festival, to talk about their Cannes experiences. SOUNDBITE: Leonardo DiCaprio, saying (English): "I always describe it as the opening sequence to 'La Dolce Vita'. It's chaos, and going from one place to another is absolute bedlam but ultimately it's very exciting. It's a lot of fun to be able to show your work here in sort of a grand platform at the film festival of the world that's launched so many incredible movies. So, ultimately that's what it's about and yeah there's some fun things to do in the meantime and some great people to meet but I wouldn't want to do this all year long, that's for sure." Carey Mulligan talked about being in the glare of the media spotlight. SOUNDBITE: Carey Mulligan, saying (English): "Yeah there's always pressure, girls have lots of pressure but I felt great and comfortable and apart from the rain, it was all pretty smooth." "The Great Gatsby" opened in the U.S. on May 10, grossing $63 million to date, despite lukewarm reviews. The film goes into wider international release on May 16.
