Boy band One Direction announce plans for a stadium world tour in 2014.

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The chart-toppers released the first details of their Where We Are Tour at London's Wembley Stadium on Thursday (May 16), which is due to host the group for one of five dates in the UK and Ireland. The announcement brings to an end intense speculation on the internet, after the British-based boy band hinted at "one big announcement" on their official Twitter page, which included a link to an online countdown to today's unveiling. Band member Niall Horan said the group were "ecstatic". "Three years into our career and we're doing stadiums, we just can't believe it ourseleves," he sadi. The first leg of the tour will see the What Makes You Beautiful singers visit Latin America, opening in Colombia on April 25. They will play five dates in the UK and Ireland - Dublin's Croke Park on May 24, Sunderland's Stadium of Light on May 28 and the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on May 31, before heading to Scotland for a gig at Murrayfield in Edinburgh on June 3 and returning to the venue of today's press conference, Wembley, on June 7.
