In northern Texas, concrete slabs are all that's left of a home after a powerful tornado ripped this area apart. At least six people were killed and another seven left missing after the town of Granbury was hit by the most deadliest storm outbreak in the U.S. this year. With winds of up to 200 miles (321 kilometres) per hour, the tornado left a trail of destruction. Some of the homes affected had been built by a charity that helps residents struggling on a low income. Sheriff Roger Deeds of Hood County says the damage is "devastating". SOUNDBITE: (English) SHERIFF ROGER DEEDS, HOOD COUNTY, SAYING: "I've seen some bad things in my day so I knew this was going to be one of the worst I've ever seen, and it was." Crews continued searching for survivors on Thursday (May 17) as the clean-up operation began. Forecasters say stormy weather will next hit other parts of Texas along with Arkansas and northern Louisiana.
