June 8 - U.S. President Obama and China's Xi Jinping, find common ground on NKorea's nuclear posture as Obama warns about cyber threats.Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

U.S. President Barack Obama and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, completed two days of get-to-know-you talks Saturday that covered disputes like cyber hacking and North Korea and may set the stage for U.S.-Chinese relations for years to come. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon declared the meeting a success (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER U.S. TOM DONILON, SAYING: "The discussion were positive and constructive, wide-ranging, and quite successful in achieving the goals we set forth for this meeting." They found common cause on North Korea. (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER U.S. TOM DONILON, SAYING: "They agreed that North Korea has to denuclearize, that neither country will accept North Korea as a nuclear armed state, and that we would work together to deepened US China cooperation and dialogue to achieve denuclearazation." Donilon says Obama told XI the cyber security issue needs to be addressed (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER U.S. TOM DONILON, SAYING: "If it is not addressed, if there continues to be this direct theft of the United States property that this was going to be a very difficult problem in the economic relationship and was going to be an inhibitor to the relationship really reaching its potential." The pair spent about eight hours together over Friday and Saturday at a sprawling retreat near Palm Springs, California, an informal summit aimed at injecting some warmth into often chilly relations between the two powers.
