Today's Daily Digit is $113.1 million. That's enough to put "Man of Steel", the Warner Bros. remake of the Superman franchise, into the history books, and that's just preliminary figures for the weekend. The more than $113 million debut at the domestic box office makes it the biggest June opening in Hollywood history and the second-best weekend start to the year. If you take in account early screenings, then the preliminary box office debut soars to $125 million, according to BoxOffice.com Internationally: throw in another $72 million. "Man of Steel" - is on track to put the super back in Superman after his last flight into theatre's seven years ago bombed. Since then, superheroes have been box office gold for Marvel and Disney but not for DC Comics or Warner Brothers, which until now has had to rely only on Batman.
