Iranian President-elect Hassan Rohani assured Iranians on Monday he'll keep his campaign pledge to improve Iran's relations with the world in order to see sanctions lifted. (SOUNDBITE) (Farsi) IRANIAN PRESIDENT-ELECT HASSAN ROHANI SAYING: "We are ready to show more transparency and to show the world that Iran's nuclear work is complies fully with the international framework…In my view the way to end the sanctions regime (against Iran) is through mutual trust and greater transparency." The moderate conservative cleric won Friday's election hands down over conservative rivals. But Iran, he said, is not ready to suspend uranium enrichment, and the U.S. must recognize Iran's nuclear rights before any direct talks. (SOUNDBITE) (Farsi) IRANIAN PRESIDENT-ELECT HASSAN ROHANI SAYING: "Of course, we will not seek to increase or widen tensions (between the two countries). Logic and sense also dictates that the two people and the two nations should look forward to the future, and to sit down and think about the past and how to make amends." A heckler interrupted Rohani, shouting support of reformist leader Mirhossein Mousavi, held under house arrest since 2011. A test of Rohani's commitment to a more "ethical" Iran, as he puts it, will be whether he pushes for Mousavi's release, a constant demand of his supporters at campaign rallies.
