A perfect way to kick off dinner outside the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Several thousand guests were there for the annual "Dinner in White".
SOUNDBITE: Dinner guest Emma, saying (English):
"I do History of Art, I study this place so being here at night with all of these people is just incredible."
SOUNDBITE: Dinner guest Vincent, saying (French):
"We're in Paris, the most beautiful city in the world and it's also an opportunity to meet up with friends who you haven't seen in ages and to get together and to have a party."
The exclusive, invitation-only event is not exactly approved by authorities.
Improvised picnics are okay, but not conventional dinners.
So the location remains top secret until the last minute.
SOUNDBITE: Dinner guest Jean-Philippe, saying (French):
"The whole point is for it to be a bit untamed, while still being very elegant and charming."
This year is the 25th anniversary of 'Diner en Blanc'.
And the elegant event has spread far and wide, from the U.S. to Russia to Japan.
