(SOUNDBITE)(Urdu) PAKISTANI INTERIOR MINISTER CHAUDHRY NISAR ALI KHAN SAYING: "This is a huge tragedy, not only for the victims' home countries, but also for Pakistan." The bodies of the five Ukrainians, three Chinese and Russian, killed in the night-time raid on a mountaineering base camp, were taken to a morgue at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. Police said a 15-strong gang wearing uniforms used by a local paramilitary force attacked the group at a base camp used by hikers scaling the Nanga Parbat peak early Sunday morning. A U.S. official said one of the victims also had a US passport. The attack was among the worst on foreigners in Pakistan in a decade and has underscored the growing reach of militants in the highland region. Pakistan's Taliban and a smaller militant group have both claimed responsibility.
