Oprah Winfrey has been named the most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine, heading the six women and four men who make up the top 10. It was the fifth time the former talk show host has topped the annual ranking of 100 celebrities, which rates them based on their financial success, popularity, and influence.
Singer Lady Gaga came in second - despite a hip surgery this year, which forced her to cut her tour short.
And rounding out the top three was Steven Spielberg - the top man on the list - who earned an estimated 100 million dollars last year.
Prince Jackson was in a Los Angeles courtroom on Wednesday (June 26) to testify in a case filed over his superstar father's death four years ago. The eldest son of Michael Jackson, Prince was the first member of his family to testify in person for the wrongful death case, which is now in its ninth week.
Halle Berry has testified before the California State Legislature regarding a proposed bill that would protect children from paparazzi. Berry attended a hearing for a new bill, which would shield kids that are vulnerable to harassment due to their parents' employment. The Hollywood actress said that passage of the bill would help her own children's lives, noting that her daughter dreads going to school for fear of facing a barrage of photographers.
Finally, Elizabeth Taylor's iconic dress which she wore for her first wedding to Conrad Hilton Jr. in 1950, sold for nearly 188,000 dollars at auction in London. The gown fetched more than double its estimate. It was sold to an unnamed institution.
