Jackson family launches new Cirque show of Michael's music

July 1 - Michael Jackson's family kicks off new Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas featuring some of the pop star's greatest hits. Lindsay Claiborn reports.

Members of the Jackson family were in Las Vegas on Saturday (June 29) to honor the late King of Pop at the opening night of "Michael Jackson ONE," the new Cirque du Soleil spectacular. The newest Vegas production is Cirque du Soleil's second collaboration with the estate of Michael Jackson.
Michael's brothers Jackie and Tito said they were excited to see their brother's work on stage.
SOUNDBITE: Jackie Jackson, saying (English):
"I'm expecting something fantastic. When you have Michael Jackson, who is a superstar and Cirque who is a superstar company, you expect to see something fantastic, something great when you put those two together."
Katherine, Michael's mother, who is currently engaged in a wrongful death suit against concert promoter AEG Live, said she thought the Cirque production would have impressed her son.
SOUNDBITE: Katherine Jackson, saying (English):
"I think he'd be very proud. I think he would love it just like I do, or even more."
The first Cirque du Soleil/Jackson collaboration, Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour, is currently making the rounds in Asia.
The new show has a permanent home at the Mandalay Bay resort and casino, including a custom-built theater with a state-of-the-art sound system. The production, which has been in previews for the past six weeks, features 63 performers.
