For Egyptians demanding that ousted President Mohamed Mursi be put back in power, this central Cairo square is the epicenter of their protest. On Saturday, they continued their sit-in, resting one day after tens of thousands marched to protest his ouster earlier this month. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PRO-MURSI SUPPORTER, HANI JAMAL,SAYING: "We are here and we will not leave until the president returns. God willing, he will return. God will bring him back, victory comes from God, not from anyone else. Victory is coming." The Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, the party Mursi belongs to, has maintained this vigil. It's bussed in coachloads of supporters from the provinces, despite the summer heat and the Ramadan month of fasting. There's no misunderstanding the determination behind some of its supporters. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PRO-MURSI SUPPORTER, SHEIKH AHMED, SAYING: "Those who stand against the will of God, and fight against his religion, should know that this religion is the religion of God and the tree of Islam can only be watered with blood. Therefore, we carry our coffins and fight for righteousness, and the freedom and the return of the president." The vigil is now in its third week - a sign of the Brotherhood's organizational muscle here. It's called for more protests Saturday.
