An autopsy was scheduled for "Glee" star Cory Monteith on Monday (July 15). The 31-year old actor died over the weekend in a Vancouver hotel room. So far, there have been no details on the cause of death, but Monteith had sought help multiple times for a drug addiction. A rep for Lea Michele, Monteith's co-star and girlfriend, released a statement asking that the media respect her privacy.
Chris Brown faced charges of a hit-and-run in Los Angeles on Monday, stemming from a car accident last May. Brown could be in hot water, as the case could cause the revocation of the probation he's currently serving for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. If a judge does decide to revoke his probation, he could face up to four years in prison.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were married over the weekend. The Oscar-winning actress and the French actor exchanged vows at a chateau in Vallery, France. Berry is pregnant with the couple's child and is due this fall.
Finally, the mighty minions of "Despicable Me 2" maintained their hold on the weekend box office for a second week in a row. The animated film collected 44.8 million dollars in North America, pushing its worldwide haul to 472 million. "Despicable" just edged out the number two film, "Grown Ups 2." The Adam Sandler comedy took in 42.5 million dollars in ticket sales.
