ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: After three short years in the music industry Australia's Gold Coast kid, Cody Simpson, is already set to release his second album.
The title, "Surfers Paradise" pays homage to Simpson's hometown and provides fans with insight into his upbringing.
Simpson wrote all the tracks on this album, something he said was very important to him.
"I'm feeling awesome about it. It's the first time from the jump on this album I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I had a vision and I turned that vision into reality and I'm glad it all sort of all turned out the way that I wanted it to," he said.
Not surprisingly, the 16-year-old former competitive swimmer said he gets his inspiration from girls: "I write all my music about girls, about, you know, what my experiences are with them. Obviously I'm still young, I've got a lot to learn. But I like expressing my feelings through music."
"Surfers Paradise" will be released in the U.S. on July 16th.
