Grandparents of royal prince overjoyed

July 23 - As gun salutes welcome the birth of the third in line to the British throne, the baby’s grandparents make brief public appearances. Mana Rabiee reports.

Gun salutes in London welcome the birth of a little prince. A baby boy born on Monday to Prince William and his wife, Kate, he is third in line to the British throne. New grandparents, the Middletons, visited their daughter at the maternity wing where she was resting before scheduled to go home later in the day. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CAROLE MIDDLETON, SAYING "He's absolutely beautiful. They're both doing really well. We're so thrilled." HOW ARE THE PARENTS DOING? "Fabulously.." "Amazing, it's all coming back" ABOUT THE NAME: "Absolutely not" But even the birth of a future king didn't distract Prince Charles from his royal duties, as wellwishers chatted with his wife Camilla about the baby's name, still not publicly known. WOMAN SAYING (English) "Congratulations on the baby" CAMILLA SAYING "It's so exciting. I haven't met it, no. I haven't met him yet." WOMAN SAYIING "We can't wait to hear the name." CAMILLA SAYING "We are waiting for the name." Royal aides said the couple and their newborn were doing well and expected to leave the hospital after 5 PM local London time, or possibly Wednesday morning. That's when the world could finally get it's the first glimpse of Britain's new prince.
