Seeing eye to eye with a full grown giraffe is now possible at the Madrid Zoo. The mammals are the tallest of all the land animals, with full-grown adults measuring six meters, or 20 feet tall. But here, even a child can feed them, thanks to this new viewing point that puts visitors on the same level with the animals says Augustin Lopez Goya of the zoo. SOUNDBITE: Agustin Lopez Goya, Manager of Madrid Zoo, saying (Spanish) "Thanks to the top access point, visitors can go into the facility and are able to see animals. It's really amazing from the top, such as giraffes, gnus, zebras or the ostriches." The giraffes appear to like it as well. By having the humans at their eye level they seem to have found a new source of food.
