U.S. Day Ahead: Amazon may suffer from Europe weakness

July 24 - Amazon reports Q2 profits alhough retail operations should see healthy revenue growth, weakness in Europe could drag down profits. Also keep an eye on the cloud.

Here's the story you need to watch for third stage there are still some big tech results to come out tomorrow. First up apple posted some strong Smartphone sales Tuesday but -- come at the expense of its arch rival. We'll find out after Samsung reports overnight apple sold more than 31 million iPhone 5 last quarter so what are Samsung's flagship galaxy S four. Many -- bridges including JPMorgan Morgan Stanley recently slashed their sales forecast for that phone citing weak parts orders. Then there's Apple's weakness in China will find out whether it with Samsung that stole those sales. Samsung's stock had held its own when apple first started falling last September. But whipped cream companies selling off the last few months shares of both have posted about equal losses for the year. Next the city of Detroit may be -- dobbs but GM may very well brought some good news there. Thomson Reuters star mining analysts predicting that company will talk earnings estimates. Deutsche Bank also expecting strong results for GM there EPS forecast is much higher than consensus. Analysts say the company could -- guidance for the second half of the year General Motors is also likely to talk about the early consumer response to its new lineup of pickup trucks. A key profit driver for rival Ford. Deutsche Bank expects GM truck production to jump in 2014. Shares up roughly 28%. So far this year. And your top story for tomorrow we've heard results from Google apple and now FaceBook. Tomorrow Amazon will round out earnings from the four horsemen of the Internet. Analysts are expecting healthy revenue growth but weakness in Europe couldn't eat away at overall earnings. Morgan Stanley says while Amazon's results may not be stellar. On the long term where analysts say it's still well positioned. Much of the attention usually centers on Amazon's retail operations but web services and cloud computing could contribute some meaningful revenue. Shares of Amazon are up 16% this year they've dropped 3% this week ahead of its results. And on the crying need will there be an indictment for Steve Cohen's firm at AC charges may come Tamar.
