The crushed wreckage of a bus that plunged more than 15 metres into a ravine in Italy, killing 38 people and injuring 10 others. The deadly accident happened on Sunday night east of Naples. Some 50 people returning from an excursion, including several children, were on the coach. Later on Monday, rescue workers lifted the wreckage onto a flatbed truck and moved it away from the site. The provincial fire brigade head said 12 people had survived the crash, and had to be pulled from the rubble. Initial reports suggest the coach had hit four or five cars at speed before smashing through roadside barriers. It is not yet clear what caused the crash.
