The sound of heavy gunfire in Homs as Syrian troops drive insurgents from the central part of the city.
The video which can not be independently verified by Reuters comes amid reports that government forces are tightening their siege on remaining rebel bastions in the city.
The skyline of Homs is blanketed by smoke -- a city that is a key link between Damascus and the Mediterranean heartland of President Bashar al-Assad's Alawite sect.
The relentless attacks on Homs comes as Assad's forces, have pushed back rebels around Damascus and retaken several towns near the Lebanese border.
Now some of the rebel held areas in Homs are broken and vacant. The conflict in Syria began with peaceful protests more than two years ago and has since descended into civil war claiming at least 100,000 lives.
