Move over Spider-man and Superman, there's a new comic book character in town - Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. He may be gracing most magazine covers, but now he's on the front of his own comic book courtesy of LA based Bluewater Productions. But because he hasn't achieved that much so far, the story's central character falls to Prince William. Like every good comic book hero, it follows him from his not so humble beginnings through to the tragedy that shaped his life, which in turn empowers him to help those less fortunate than himself. And of course, there's also the love interest in the shape of Kate Middleton, who goes through her own personal struggles with the press and the idea of being a royal to finally become his wife. The comic book is retailing at six dollars. And if that hasn't sated your royal appetite, there is another comic book called 'Female Force: Princess Diana' available from the same publisher chronicling the life of Prince George's late grandmother.
The new royal arrival has his spotlight in the media broadened after a California based comic book company writes his backstory. Rollo Ross reports. ( Transcript )
