After a series of leaks, Lady Gaga has released her new single ahead of schedule. The song, "Applause", was originally set to debut on August 19 and is the first single from Gaga's "ARTPOP" album, due for release November 11. On Twitter, Gaga told her fans: "DUE TO HACKERS AN ABUNDANCE OF LOW/HIGH QUALITY LEAKS...WE ISSUE THIS POP MUSIC EMERGENCY...MONSTERS SPREAD THE WORD." The single comes after she bared all in a performance art piece for the Marina Abramovic Institute. The video, which features a nude Gaga, is being used to promote a Kickstarter campaign designed to raise money for Abramovic's institute, which she hopes to build in upstate New York.
