The Broadway production of "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark" has suffered another setback.
A dancer was injured during a live performance as the second act began.
Reports say audience members heard a scream before the musical was abruptly stopped.
The show's spokesman said in a statement that the performer remains in the hospital in stable condition having sustained an injury to his foot.
And he added that equipment malfunction was not a factor in the incident.
The wildly successful, yet troubled show has been plagued with problems since its start in 2010.
Four performers were injured during the production's preview run, resulting in new safety measures being instituted.
