Chris Brown's probation for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 was reinstated on Friday (August 16), with the R&B singer agreeing to complete 1,000 additional hours of community labor. Brown's probation was revoked last month after he was charged with a pair of misdemeanors and an infraction in connection with a traffic collision in May. Those charges have since been dismissed. Brown pleaded guilty in June 2009, admitting that he assaulted Rihanna during an argument that February, while they were in a rented Lamborghini after attending a pre-Grammy Awards party. Brown was sentenced to five years probation, a yearlong domestic violence program, which he completed, and 180 days of community labor. The R&B singer must now complete the community service hours before his probation ends next August.
