Fire crews gain ground on the so-called Beaver Creek wildfire in central Idaho - and hundreds of evacuation orders in the area are lifted. After lightning started the fire nearly two weeks ago, thousands of people were forced to leave their homes. On Tuesday, the residents of about 600 homes were told they could return. The blaze has destroyed at least one house - and seven other buildings as it has raged across more than 100 thousand acres of land. The fire is still less than ten percent contained but, officials said they have made headway thanks to calmer winds and lower humidity More than 1,800 firefighters are battling the blaze - which is just one of dozens of fires burning across the Western U.S. - and putting strains on national firefighting resources.
