Former teen heartthrob David Cassidy as we're used to seeing him. But on Wednesday August 21st the relaxed look was gone, as he had to pose for a police mug shot. According to authorities the 63-year-old was arrested and is facing a drunken driving charge. Schodack Police Chief Bernhard Peter said he was stopped in upstate New York for failing to dim his car's headlights against oncoming traffic. Cassidy then failed a field sobriety test and was booked at Rensselaer County Jail for driving while intoxicated. The Partridge Family star paid bail of 2,500 US dollars and was released. According to a police report he will appear in court on September 6th. Cassidy - who shot to fame in the early 70s - was also arrested in 2010 in Florida on suspicion of drunken driving. Authorities said his misdemeanor conviction in that case led to Wednesday's felony charge. If found guilty, he could face up to four years in prison.
