Chaos in the Lebanese city of Tripoli after two explosions in nearby mosques. At least 13 people were killed and more than 50 wounded in the blasts which happened just as Friday prayers were coming to an end. An eyewitness described seeing bodies inside burning cars after the explosions which appeared to be coordinated. The first blast happened close to a mosque where hardliner Sunni Muslims worship. The explosions come as Israel targeted a southern Lebanese city with air strikes earlier on Friday following rocket attacks on Israeli territories. A week ago a huge blast killed at least 24 in a southern Beirut suburb, a Shi'ite militant stronghold. Sectarian violence has been stoked by the ongoing civil war in neighbouring Syria. Lebanon's Shi'ite population largely supports Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is fighting a Sunni rebel insurgency.
