It was another violent day in Iraq. A bomb attack near this mosque northeast of Baghdad killed three people.
17 others were injured. They were treated at a nearby hospital.
Grieving relatives attended funerals for the dead.
SOUNDBITE: (ARABIC) UNIDENTIFIED RELATIVE OF DEAD MAN, SAYING:
"It happened when I left the mosque with my relatives in my car. Thank God, that my car has become more like a shield that protected the worshipers."
In a separate attack, a suicide bomber killed at least 7 guests at a wedding party in a Shi'ite town north of Baghdad.
The bomber blew himself up while he was with other guests inside a home.
The intensity of the blast blew out the windows on this van. Blood stained the walls of a nearby house.
Sunni insurgents are believed to be behind the attacks targeting civilians, which have increasingly gotten worse over the past several months.
