Drones spy on archaeological sites in Peru

Saturday, August 24, 2013 - 01:08

Aug. 25 – Archaeologist Luis Jaime Castillo demonstrates the use of a drone at the San Jose de Moro Archaeological site in Trujillo, northern Peru. Researchers are increasingly turning to drones to help them map and protect archaeological sites in fast-growing Peru, where an ancient pyramid was recently leveled by a construction company and only a fraction of the country’s 13,000 archaeological sites from the Andes to the desert coast have been registered and demarcated. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
