At least six people are known to have died when this building collapsed in the Brazilian city of Sao Paolo.
At least 24 more have been injured.
Emergency workers fear the number of dead could rise.
Maria de Fatima's son, a construction worker on the site, is among the missing.
(SOUNDBITE)(Portuguese) MARIA DE FATIMA, MOTHER OF MISSING MAN, SAYING:
"My brother-in-law says he's dead but I don't believe it. I will only believe it when I see it. I want to see my child first. When I see it I'll believe it. My brother-in-law was nervous and crying but I didn't believe him. I have faith in God that my son is alive. My son doesn't deserve to die now. His time has not come. It's not time."
The building was in the final stages of construction when it came crashing down on Tuesday.
Local news reports say city officials have confirmed the project was considered to be in 'an irregular state' at the time.
