London's Royal Opera House was the home of the GQ Awards on September the third, with celebrities from music, film, fashion and television turning out to be honoured by the mens' style magazine. And while some men turned out looking very stylish, others didn't really get the point. (SOUNDBITE) The Who frontman, Roger Daltrey (English), saying: "I see GQ as more of a trendy fashion thing and I'm a most untrendy unfashionable guy you could pick so it's a mystery." (SOUNDBITE) Musician Noel Gallagher (English), saying: "Men talking about shoes and shit, it's weird, isn't it? I'm not having that. It's like when someone says 'where did you get that belt from?', you're like 'fuck off'." At the award show, Michael Douglas, who recently separated for his wife Catherine Zeta Jones, picked up the Legend award. (SOUNDBITE) actor Michael Douglas, (English), saying: "I think it's a polite way of saying this is my third act. And I relish it, I'm looking forward to it, particularly this year, it's been, it's been.... something." Emma Watson, despite best being known as schoolgirl Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, picked up the Woman award, while The Velvet Underground frontman Lou Reed picked up the Inspiration gong. Justin Timberlake danced as he announced Tom Ford as GQ's Designer, while veteran rocker Wilko Johnson, who is dying of terminal cancer, was in for a surprise when giving Elton John the Genius award.
