ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Monique Lhuillier continued her tradition of sophistication and class for her spring 2014 collection presented at Mercedes Benz fashion week in New York on Saturday (September 7).
For Lhuillier spring 2014 is all about "sheer elegance."
"I am working with a lot of sheer fabrics so you can see different layering going on throughout the collection. And then also it's about bright color. There is this beautiful reds, fuchsias, corals," she told Reuters.
The Los Angeles, California-based designer started the show with daytime looks full lace and layers.
Bold colors helped transition the collection from day to evening with various asymmetrically-draped gowns and ball skirts.
Mercedes Benz fashion week will end on September 12.
