An Egyptian policeman is dead Thursday after clashes in the outskirts of Cairo.
It happened in Kerdasah - where 11 policemen were killed last month.
A group of security forces were attempting to restore control over the area when a policeman was shot dead.
Local television footage shows security forces firing warning shots in the air in a neighbourhood next to Kerdasah.
More footage shows security forces firing teargas into the crowds.
Hostility in the Islamist-dominated area towards authorities has grown since the army deposed President Mohamed Mursi on July 3.
