Carole King has been selected as the Grammy's 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year; she's being honored for her charitable work as well as her extensive contributions to the music industry. The singer-songwriter will be presented with the award at a concert gala in Los Angeles on January 24 - two days before the Grammys. Artists scheduled to pay tribute to King include Lady Gaga, Bette Midler, and Steven Tyler. Selena Gomez has been forced to cancel concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow after she failed to secure a Russian visa. Various media outlets are reporting that the decision to deny her a visa stemmed from remarks that other pop stars have made, criticizing Russia's anti-gay laws. Gomez's next tour stop is in Dubai on September 27. Finally, Zac Efron was swarmed by throngs of screaming fans as he arrived at an airport in Peru. The actor just wrapped a nine day trip in the country and was preparing to fly back to the U.S. Efron made headlines this week after online tabloid TMZ reported that the actor was in and out of rehab this year for a substance abuse problem. Efron's camp has neither confirmed nor denied the rehab rumors.
