Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta says his troops have "defeated" a group of Somali al Shabaab Islamists that attacked a high-end Nairobi mall and killed at least 72. He has declared three days of mourning. Meanwhile, an unknown number of bodies lie beneath the rubble. Kenyan troops used explosives to gain access to the mall -- where three floors collapsed. Interior Minister Joseph ole Lenku: (SOUNDBITE) (English) KENYAN INTERIOR MINISTER JOSEPH OLE LENKU, SAYING: "I want to focus on the issue of the people under the rubbles... We are convinced there will be insignificant [number], if any, bodies still holed up there, except for the terrorist." Kenyan journalist Joseph Mathenge described the scene inside the Westgate Shopping Center: (SOUNDBITE) (English) FREELANCE JOURNALIST, JOSEPH MATHENGE, SAYING: "It was an ugly sight, that's all I can say. And they were actually crying for help, asking us to help them. There was no way we could help them because one, we didn't have procedures that could help - first aid, we didn't have. Secondly, everybody was actually running, even though they are shot and they were crying there, still it was not a safe place to be." Meanwhile, frustration mounts at Nairobi's main mortuary, as friends and family wait. This woman says the delay in the release of her husband's body is compounding the grief. (SOUNDBITE) (English) KENYAN WOMAN, SAYING: "The police are saying it is the doctor who has refused. Then the doctor are telling us it is the police that are not giving the clearance. What is this?" Kenya is receiving help from U.S., British and Israeli agencies, as well as assistance from Germany, Canada and the police agency Interpol in investigating the attack.
