Closing arguments concluded on Thursday (September 26) in the 21-week trial of Katherine Jackson's wrongful-death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Live over the death of Michael Jackson. An attorney for the singer's mother finished pleading the family's case to a jury, who will now decide if AEG was ultimately responsible for Jackson's death. Sir Paul McCartney and Tom Hanks joined friends on stage for the 23rd Annual Simply Shakespeare benefit. The impromptu reading of "The Two Gentlemen of Verona," featured a star-studded cast that included McCartney, Hanks, Rita Wilson and Val Kilmer, and was more about fun than good theater. More than 350 people twerked their way into the history books in New York on Wednesday (September 25), as they set a new Guinness World Record for the most people twerking simultaneously for two consecutive minutes. Twerking first started in the 90's in the Southern part of the U.S. The dance recently became popular again when Miley Cyrus posted a video of herself online, twerking.
