As the clock ticks closer to a potential government shutdown, House Republicans, perched on Senate steps, cry out to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to open the Senate.
Republican House Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Oregon:
(SOUNDBITE) (English) REPRESENTATIVE CATHY MCMORRIS RODGERS, REPUBLICAN OF OREGON AND CHAIR OF THE HOUSE REPUBLICAN CONFERENCE, SAYING:
"Our message is one that republicans want to keep this government open. We have taken action to keep the government open, and we're calling on the Senate to come back, do their job. There's two bodies in Congress for a reason."
One woman voices her opinion in front of the group of Republicans.
They had previously approved a spending bill in the early hours Sunday that included amendments aimed at delaying President Obama's Affordable Healthcare Act.
Republican lawmakers are trying to derail the act, known as 'Obamacare', which is slated to roll out Tuesday, shutdown or no shutdown.
