Britney Spears implied that she's being pressured to maintain a sexed-up image. The singer made the claim on a Boston radio program, one day after releasing a very sexual music video for her new single. Spears said she made editors delete certain parts of the video "because I am a mother." Spears is due to launch a new Vegas residency show in December.
Michael Jackson's mother Katherine has lost her wrongful death lawsuit against AEG Live. A jury ruled in favor of the concert promoter, concluding that Dr. Conrad Murray, although hired by AEG Live, was not unfit for his job as Jackson's personal physician. The decision wrapped a five month trial that offered a glimpse into the private life and final days of the King of Pop.
Mel Gibson made a rare red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of "Machete Kills." The actor, who plays the villain in the film, was joined on the carpet by Danny Trejo and Sofia Vergara. The movie opens on October 11.
Finally, Julianne Moore received the 2,507th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, honoring a career that has included four Oscar nominations. The actress was all smiles at the event. Moore is the star of two fall films, "Don Jon," in theaters now, and "Carrie," due out October 18.
