ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Newly released underwater video shows the sunken boat that capsized off the southern Italian island of Lampedusa on Thursday, leaving more than 300 people believed drowned. The incident is one of the worst tragedies in Europe's decades-long migrant crisis. Authorities have already recovered 111 bodies from the submerged wreck of the migrant boat and are expecting to recover more, a coast guard official said on Friday. The boat had been packed with about 500 African migrants, mostly Eritreans and Somalis, and sank no more than 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) from shore. The disaster was triggered when fuel aboard the boat caught fire, causing a panicked rush to one side of the boat, which capsized and sank, throwing hundreds of people into the water. Authorities have rescued 155 survivors. Italy is holding a day of mourning on Friday, and schools will observe a minute's silence in memory of the victims.
