Paul McCartney gave a surprise mini-concert in New York's Times Square on Thursday (October 10) to the delight of throngs of workers, tourists and fans. The former Beatle sang tracks from his upcoming album, "New," which is due to be released on October 15. The 15-minute, lunch-time concert was kept a secret until shortly before its start.
Sad news for fans of the Jonas Brothers. The group have canceled a U.S. tour. A rep for the group blamed the cancellation on "a deep rift within the band." Reportedly, the brothers could not agree on the direction of their music. The tour was supposed to include 19 cities and was set to launch in Pennsylvania on Friday (October 11).
Finally, "Gravity," the sci-fi saga starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, is expected to rule the weekend box office in North America for the second weekend in a row. Analysts predict the film will tack on another $39 million from Friday (October 11) to Sunday (October 13). The film has already made $102 million globally.
