ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who had earlier opposed any compromise unless it defunded Obamacare, said he does not intend to delay Senate consideration of a measure to end the government shutdown and prevent a default , which is expected to be approved later in the day by the Republican-led House of Representatives. Cruz says timing of Senate vote will not make difference in outcome so he does not intend to delay the vote. U.S. Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid and Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell announced a bipartisan deal on floor of the Senate Wednesday to raise the U.S. debt limit and end the government shutdown.
