(SOUNDBITE) (English) LONDON MAYOR BORIS JOHNSON, SAYING: "What is interesting is to see the growing inter-penetration between China and the London economy in Britain. And what we need to do is to move forward together and intensify friendships and partnerships. And one of the ways I'd like to do that is to make sure that we have more direct flights from London to Hong Kong." Johnson's visit to Hong Kong comes at the end of a week-long trip to China, to drum up investment for London. UK Chancellor George Osborne has also been in the region, hailing a new dawn for Britain's nuclear programme. A deal looks set to be finalised between Chinese investors and EDF Energy to build the first nuclear power station in the UK in a generation.
